I use Content Provider when I speak about my multimedia work / web editing, simply because it's a phrase that can include video, photography and audio pieces. But I try to stay away from "writer" and lean more toward "journalist", mostly because it feels less formally literary and more of a journeyman type of craft. It’s a good question.
