I know all organizations would love to pay less to writers but the simple truth is the good ones won't take it, and you'll be left with the content mills to produce the articles that sell your magazines and newspapers. If that is the world you want, you are welcome to it; just be prepared to join the writers on the unemployment line when the public stops buying your media.
