Yeah I wrote for one outfit, two articles as a test to see exactly how they operated. It was the same drill, too much SEO, too little factual writing, and a low upfront payment that was “justified” by the promise of residuals on the backend. It was bullshit. Unfortunately they do sucker in a lot of writers with the promise of “long-term income”. If you want long-term income, write a book.

I’m so glad that you wrote this post. I’ve looked at these jobs and pretty much come to the conclusions that you have drawn, but it’s great to see it confirmed by someone who really knows what they are talking about.
