November 23, 2009 Freelance Writing Jobs

Thanks everyone for your feedback on last week’s quick comment about Suite 101 and similar sites. I would love to hear or see links to more stories as I feel this will make a good article in the next couple of weeks.

On a related note, many Craigslist positions and gigs are now not posting how much money you can make, meaning that you may put together a targeted application package only to find out that you are applying to an unpaid position. If that happens, go back to the original ad on Craigslist and flag it as “miscategorized” in the flagging bar at the top left hand corner of the screen. Please also e-mail me, preferably with the link, so that I may remove it from the site if it is on here. That will save other writers the trouble. Don’t flag if the pay is too low, technically they are still within CL rules even if they offer next to nothing. Feel free to send the “employer” an e-mail about what you think though!
