Contributing Blog Editor/Social Media Contributor Position – Casual Part-Time

To passionate consumers of all things creatively cool and awesome, Mindoddity is the online content and commerce destination that’s got what you want before you even know you want it – from the best in comics, graphic novels, toys and collectibles to fascinating games, gizmos, graphic T’s and other amazing stuff you’re just not going to find everywhere else.  Fueled by inspiration as much as imagination, Mindoddity is run by certifiable superfans as maniacally devoted to their inexplicable obsessions as you are to yours!

The blog will be launched in the coming months and will be a place for both novice and professional writers to write about the things that excite them. A combination of POV posts, top 10 lists and reviews, we want our readers to feel as at home in our virtual community as they would in their favorite comic shop, convention or hangout. We want our blog to be a place where discussion and passion thrive.


The contributing editor’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

– Managing the Writing Team

– Strategizing with MindOddity Leadership

– Refining and Managing the Editorial Plan and Calendar

– Overseeing SEO Implementation

– Editing, Approving, and Publishing Content

– Legal and Ethical Compliance

As well as tracking and submitting hours, potentially contributing where needed and managing guest posting opportunities and/or requests.

The Social Media Contribution aspect would include, but is not limited to:

– Finding creative content, scheduling posts and posting to our Facebook page

– Identifying source photographers, sites and other providers for content used in our Social Media

– Updating the media calendar

Position is for casual part-time (between 10-15 hours per week).

Prefer candidate to work from our office in Winnipeg, but for the right candidate we would consider an alternative.
