We are currently looking for travel blogs focused on exploring Alberta in the winter. The length of the articles can be anywhere between 500 & 700 words along with a picture or two. We expect the writing to be authentic, based on your personal travelexperience (e.g a ski resort you visited last year or talk about your favorite hot spring or talk about your favorite winter hike or a winter festival in your city etc). Food writer wanted in Toronto

Role: Writer, Foodism Toronto (digital)

Job location: Downtown Toronto

Foodism is the first international outpost of the UK’s highly successful Foodism UK. The magazine is London’s largest food and drink title, founded in 2013. Foodism Toronto launched its website and weekly newsletter in November 2015 and recently released 50,000 copies of its launch print issue in October. The magazine and website cover the vibrant food and drink scene in Toronto and beyond. The weekly newsletter features bite-size content from the website and reaches nearly 10,000 inboxes each Wednesday.

The position available will lead the digital content of, producing and publishing exciting and engaging content each week. In addition, the role will also work with the wider editorial team to contribute to the bi-monthly print edition of the magazine.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Source, write and publish 3-4 pieces of online content per week. A mix of long form and short form.
  • Curate pieces of content to build and publish the weekly newsletter
  • Contribute to in-house sections of print publication with the wider team
  • Opportunity to pitch and contribute features to print publication
  • Represent the brand at relevant food and drink related events, launches, dinners etc.

Key Qualities:

  • Comfortable working independently
  • A true go-getter that will hit the ground running
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
  • Significant experience writing and producing written content
  • A passion for food and drink and understanding of the local industry in Toronto
