Junior Writer Wanted – Nipissing/North Bay, Ontario

A junior writer is required for a small marketing agency in Nipissing, Ontario for a 1-year paid internship position. Candidates need to be local to North Bay, Powassan, or Nipissing, or be able to commute to Nipissing or North Bay from a distance every work day. Telecommute options will be available once the candidate is trained and we are satisfied that they can work appropriately while telecommuting, but they must be local.

Educational & Vocational Requirements for position:

Assistant Professor, Creative Nonfiction, University of Victoria

The Department of Writing at the University of Victoria invites applications for a tenure-track position in creative nonfiction at the Assistant Professor level, beginning July 1, 2018.


As a member of a small department, the candidate will be expected to share in administrative duties at the departmental, faculty and university levels, including as the Director of the Professional Writing Minor in Journalism and Publishing. Teaching duties will include creative nonfiction workshops and lecture courses on the theory and practice of creative nonfiction, journalism and/or publishing, as well as the supervision of graduate students and the mentorship of sessional instructors.
